(Our Story)

John Fanidis started Recurssive after more than ten years of building software, in-house and for clients, to be the one choosing the work. We design and build websites and apps, and on mobile we specialise in making slow apps fast and putting AI inside them.

(Purpose)

We create to inspire others to create.

This one is still an ambition, and we’re growing into it. We’d like our apps and websites to be good enough that whoever uses them feels like going off to make something of their own.

(Vision)

Creativity driven by people, efficiency driven by tech.

AI tools and automation do the repetitive parts of the job, so projects move faster. The time that frees up goes into the decisions that need a person, like what to build and how it should feel.

(Mission)

Crafting custom web & app experiences that help people.

Custom is the operative word there. Off-the-shelf is cheaper right up to the point where your business has to bend around the software instead of the software bending around you.

Our Values

  1. (01)

    Reliability

It should be boring in the best possible sense. You stop thinking about it once it is running properly.

  2. (02)

    Empathy

Somebody has to sit with the person using it and notice what they never bothered to complain about.

  3. (03)

    Performance

Speed is designed in from the start. People leave an app that feels slow, whatever its benchmarks say.

  4. (04)

    Foresight

We plan ahead for the next system update and for growth, so neither one means rewriting everything.

  5. (05)

    Creativity

The unusual idea gets tried before the familiar one, and the small details are where the craft shows.

We live & breathe recursion

Recursion is what happens when a process becomes the input to itself, and it’s how we work. An early version goes out to the people it’s for, and how they use it tells us what to change in the next one. Then the next one goes out, and the same thing happens again. You get something working early, and every version after that is shaped by the people using it.

  1. Start

Somewhere in the business there is a problem worth paying to solve. That is the entry point.

  2. Process

You see the work as it happens, in regular demos that show what has changed since the last one.

  3. Decide

We lay out the options and what each would cost, and say which we’d pick. The call is yours.

  4. Process

The option you chose goes ahead from there, and you see the result running at the next demo.

  5. End

Finished means it’s live and the people it was made for have been using it without problems.

Let’s build your vision

Tell us what you’re building, even if it’s still rough. We read all messages and come back within two working days.
